Corporate Social Responsibility
The School understands that it is an integral part of society and contributes back to community when it can. Whenever possible, Master Lai and members of the team will offer their services as course conductors, referees or volunteers to support the good work of the Singapore Taekwondo Federation. Master Lai and some of the staff also contribute by being part of the youth development committee and helping to organize activities for our younger Taekwondo members.
Since 2013, Master Lai has also been supporting the Singapore Taekwondo Federation “Taekwondo with a Heart” program by volunteering at a children’s home as a coach. He leads a team of instructors weekly to provide free training to these children and his efforts were recognized in 2014 when he was presented with an award from the Singapore Taekwondo Federation. Since 2014, The Bukit Timah branch (under the corporate name of Han Academy Pte. Ltd.) is also helping to encourage and recognise aspiring sports coaches by contributing to book prizes at Republic Polytechnic. He continues to look for more opportunities where the schools can make a difference.
